TAN DUN
This music was originally composed by Tan Dun for the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). It was later arranged as a cello concerto and most recently as a sonata. As you listen to these recordings, you'll hear the piano and cello mimic a variety of instruments that would be heard along the silk road– erhu, bawu, dizi, rawap, hand drum, and percussion.
